Commercial trucks often weigh more than 40 times as much as a car and are designed and built differently, so incidents that involve these vehicles require special reconstruction considerations. This lunch and learn focuses on evidence preservation and crash reconstruction in claims related to commercial trucks. Utilizing trial-tested case studies, we will go over topics that include:
- Driver Behaviour and Human Factors: how claims where liability is contested (e.g. head-on and high speed intersection collisions) are investigated
- EDR or “black box”: the available data, similarities and differences, when compared to passenger vehicles
- Special topics: Truck rollovers, wheel separations and fires
The EDR’s idiosyncrasies, accuracy and limitations will also be discussed, and there will be a Q&A session. Lunch is included at this free lunch & learn, but spaces are limited – so register today!
Note: This seminar is suited for insurance (claims, risk) and legal professionals.
